MASON MOUNT WARNS CHELSEA TEAMMATES

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has sounded a note of warning to his teammates ahead of the crucial league game at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Blues are guests of Wolves at the Molineux on Tuesday evening in what’s the first game of week 13. Ahead of the game, Mason Mount told his Chelsea teammates that they can’t feel sorry for themselves after the loss at Everton last weekend. Mason Mount was on for the entire duration of the gamebut failed to prevent the Blues from losing 1-0 to hosts Everton on Saturday night.

Everton secured a big win over Chelsea via the first half spot kick from ex-Tottenham Hotspur player Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Icelandic international scored the only goal of the game midway into the first half after he capitalized on a rare error from Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. Senegalese international shot stopper Mendy needlessly brought down Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the box and Sigurdsson made no mistake from the spot midway into the first half. Chelsea never recovered from that setback aa they went on to lose for the first time in eleven games.

Mason Mount spoke to the official Chelseawebsite about the Everton game as he revealed that they didn’t play well against the Toffees at the weekend. He went on to say that the Chelsea players can’t feel sorry for themselves and that they need to pick themselves up for the away trip to Wolves. Ahead of the game, Wolves are also coming into the game on the back of a slim 1-0defeat at home to Aston Villa in the midland’s derby.

Wolves have now lost two successive league games on the back of the impressive 2-1 victory at Arsenal. Chelsea are massive favourites to return to winning ways ahead of the game. The Everton defeat saw Chelsea drop to fifth place on the league table and a win over Wolves will take them to the top of the table temporarily until the other week 13 games are played on Wednesday.
