Senegalese international Kalidou Koulibaly won’t be available for selection ahead of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Leicester City. Koulibaly will miss the game due to suspension after his red card against Leeds United last weekend. The former Club Brugge and Napoli central defender was sent off to compound his woes after a poor game. He was part of the Chelsea defence that conceded three times before being sent off for two yellow cards.
Senegalese defender Koulibaly has been amongst the goals since he became a Chelsea player. It took just two games for him to register his first goal for his new club. Koulibaly scored the opener during the London Derby clash between his team and Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month. He volleyed home off the corner kick taken by fellow new signing Marc Cucurella for the only goal of the first half. Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg cancelled out his goal in the second half before Chelsea regained the lead through English defender Reece James. Tottenham Hotspur had the last laugh with a stoppage time equaliser from star man Harry Kane.
Koulibaly will miss the Leicester City game at home in the Premier League on Saturday, but he’s expected to be back foraway game against Southampton on Tuesday night.
